Part 4: Exchange Server 2019 Prerequisites
Here in Part 4 we will install the Exchange Server 2019 Prerequisites. We have joined the server where we will install Exchange Server 2019 to the Domain in Part 3 already.
Let’s take a look at the System Requirements first.
System Requirements Exchange Server 2019:
- Recommended 128gb ram ( depending on installed roles ) – I do it with 16GB
Pagefile: 25 of installed RAM
At least 30 GB free space on the disk exchange will be installed
- NTFS formatted discs for the install, mail.queue DB ( transport database )
Disks hosting the mailbox databases and transaction logs can be optionally ReFS formatted
- .NET framework: .NET 4.7.2 ( which is already installed on Server 2019 )
- Dynamic Memory is not supported.
Exchange (like many server applications with optimizations for performance that involve caching of data in memory) is susceptible to poor system performance and an unacceptable client experience if it doesn’t have full control over the memory allocated to the physical or virtual machine on which it’s running. As a result, using dynamic memory or memory overcommit features for Exchange isn’t supported
